I use the Event Prep tool to capture past events and the thoughts associated with those events, identify how I would like future events to go, and finally what happened during the next event. The best thing about this tool is that it lets me plan for future, similar events. I do not simply record what happened and how I would like things to go and what actually happened and call it a day. I continue to update all three fields over time as I recall new details and gain a better understanding of what’s really going on with my thoughts during these events. The Overview and Example are intended to provide guidance as to how I use this tool.
