Prioritization

Mood Sentry's Prioritization tool lets the user define the criteria for Immediate, High, Medium, and Low priority items, and even has a Do Not Work category.I use this prioritization scheme help alleviate stress, anxiety, and feeling overwhelmed by life’s events.  The Examples are merely suggestions and included to show how I use this tool.  I use this as a helpful reference, not as an absolute all encompassing set of directives.  Note the drop down menu at the top of the screenshot.  I have priority schemes for both work and home.  There are 5 priority categories.  I define them as…

Immediate – These are tasks for which I will drop everything and address right away.  The default for this are things related to safety.  The default indicates that nothing is traded for safety.  Nothing.
High Priority – These are things I’ll work on right away in the absence of Immediate priorities.  The default sets these as significant opportunities, things likely to fail, or things that are just about done.  I can trade trade off things in this category.
Medium Priority – These are things I’ll work on right away in the absence of any higher priorities. I can trade things off in this category.
Low Priority – These are things I’ll work on right away in the absence of any higher priorities.  I can trade trade things off in this category.
Do Not Work -I think this is a great category to have and learned of it while reading a book on Asperger in adults.  Specifying things that I don’t need to work on is really a good idea and can significantly decrease my workload and thus feelings of stress.  I am still working on this concept.
